Hong Kong’s Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance came into full operation on 21 September 2012. It establishes requirements for new buildings, major retrofitting works and periodic energy audits.
香港《建築物能源效益條例》於 2012 年 9 月 21 日全面實施，規管新建建築物、主要裝修工程及定期能源審核。

Major retrofitting 主要裝修工程
Responsible persons must ensure the affected installations comply with the BEC when major retrofitting works are carried out.
進行主要裝修工程時，負責人須確保受影響裝置符合守則要求。

Energy audits 能源審核
Commercial buildings and commercial portions of composite buildings require an energy audit of central building services installations every 10 years.
商業建築物及綜合用途建築物的商業部分，須每十年為中央屋宇裝備裝置進行能源審核。
